Dear Mr.Dzen,
‘I recently spoke with Mr.Bill Warzecka of the Connecticut DEP and we jointly agreed on
the f0llowing information regarding the use of the well at 215 Barber Hill Road.The well.is presentiy in‘use to serve the building at 215 Barber Hill Road.Its usage at this time
is minimal.
Since there is a known area of contamination in close proXimity to this drinking water
well,it isrecommended that it be tested on a quarterly basis,it should be tested using
EPA method 524.2.
If the pumping rate of the well increases,such as its use for irrigation,there is a
concern that the contamination may be intercepted by the well.Periodic monitoring will
ensure that contaminated water is not discharged from the well and that human health
is also protected.
:In the event that any compounds tested for reach or exceed action levels,an
appropriate sized filtrationsystem would have to be installed on the supply.
Please forward copies of the well water sample results to me at the South Windsor
Town Hall,1540 Sullivan Avenue,South Windsor,CT.

AS'you are awa're,a sample of your well water at 215 Barber Hill Road was collected.and delivered to the State Health Department laboratory to be analyzed for TCE andothercompounds.
As is evident from the enclosed report,several compound may have been detected intraceamounts,indicated as less that.5.This would be below any quantifiable limits.
The water is presently considered potable.
