"WIDWF The test hole was dug 46i feet off the rear,center of
the residence.The test was conducted in accordance with
Section 19-13-812 of the State Public health Code.To
insure that the soil was thoroughly wet,the hole was
filled and allowed to drain before conducting the test.
Tn'r “win-The soil profile is as follow:0-18 in .—sand fill;
1.8-28 in.‘original sod surface,with topsoil beneath;
28—36 in.e fine sand with silt;below 36 in .-coarse sand.
The bottom of-the test hole was at 42 inches.The minimum
uniform seepage rate was determined to be 1.7 aim/inch.
A test coiiducted in the 23—36 inch fine and was markedly
inferior to the test conducted.
¢°N¢W"°N-The soil is suitable for disposal of septic ‘tank effluent.
The field should be located in the coar%£e sand located,at
the test hole,below the 36 inch depth.For soils of this
permeability,the State Public Health Code (and the South
WindSor Ordinance)provide that an effective area of 125
square feet be provided for each bedroom For the existing
three bedroom dwelling,a minim of 375 sq.ft.is required,
