One percolation test was taken at the location indicated on thedrawings. An excellent coarse sand was encountered to a depth of 5 feet.Percolation rate was less than 1 minute per inch.I havethereforeusedtheapplicationraterecommendedforapercolation rateof3minutesperinchinsizingthefield.A seepage pit has been proposed in lieu of the more normal distribution box. This will allowforthestorageofsomesludgeoverflowifthesystemisnotmaintained properly. The side areas of the seepage pit were not used in comput-ing the required effective seepage area. When a contractor has finally been selected for this work hewillmakeapplicationforapermitintheusualmanner. This drawingandinformationisfurnishedtoyouinadvancesothatyoucanexpeditetheprocessingoftheapplication. If you wish any additional details, please contact me directly.
