Dear Sir/Homeowner:
Approximately 60 days ago CUP was notified that a residential service upgrade was to be completed at
the above referenced location. Work of this nature must be completed in accordance with the CUP Cut
and Reconnect Policy. In addition, per CT General Statutes, your town requires an electrical permit to be
issued and that the electrical work be inspected and approved by a Local Code Enforcement Official.
CUP has yet to receive any notification of an inspection approval from the Local Code Enforcement
officials.
If our electrical meter was removed and reinstalled in the meter socket for any circumstance or"jumpers"
have been installed in your electrical service entrance you have an additional 30 days to comply with the
CUP Cut& Reconnect Policy.
Please contact your Local Code Enforcement Official to schedule an inspection.
Please contact the above referenced Clearing Desk Associate with a job status update so
we can work together to resolve any issues or concerns.

Dear Sir:
As was indicated in our previous letter, CL&P has reasons to believe that the electric meter (s)
for the above referenced location has been removed and was reinstalled or is bypassed. Both
the homeowner and the responsible party that acquired the electrical work permit are
encouraged to contact their local Code Enforcement official In order to resolve this situation.
The following actions will be taken in accordance with the CL&P Cut & Reconnect
Policy.
1. CL&P will install a new electrical meter (s) at the above referenced location no sooner
than 10 days from the date of this letter.
• The Installation of a meter does not supersede the requirements of an
Inspection approval by the Local Code Enforcement Official.
2. Connecticut Light & Power may elect to make a formal complaint to the State of
Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection - Licensing Division.
3. Local Code Enforcement Officials may elect to direct CL&P in writing to disconnect the
electric service to the above referenced location.
