Application #2716-0-Artfx Sigits for Century 21, Clemens& Sons Dear Ms. Anita Gold: At the meeting of the South Windsor Zoning Board of Appeals held on March 6, 2008, the Board approved your request for a P 4" height variance to Table 6.5.8b to allow a sign to be 6' 4" (5 feet allowed) for Century 21 on property located at 35 Oakland Road, RC zone The Board concluded the hardship to be: 1. That the visibility of the current sign is obstructed by trees planted by the State as part of the landscape beautification. 2. The proposed sign must meet the State Right of Way requirements and the location identified where the sign can fit is restricted by the distance between the property line and the parking lot. 3. Additional height for the new sign would help ensure that drivers can quickly and safely identify the business location and the driveway entrance safely. Any new building, or alteration/additions to existing buildings, requires a building permit prior to start of construction. These actions are effective upon your filing the enclosed form in the Town Clerk's Office at your own expense.
