The limitations brought on by an inadequate grading easement do not allow us to represent a proper re-alignment of Farm Brook,which would allow for the Brook to continue straight along the property line.The licensed structural Engineer you have retained to design these walls will need to address the issues associated with this realignment, including,but not limited to,the proximity of the brook with the base of the wall and it's effect on erosion along the base, freezing and thawing,as well as the potential for undercutting of the concrete culverts. The design of the masonry wall needs to be capable of acting as a guiderail in areas of the retaining wall,and the structural engineer should be able to document this ability. I will be happy to coordinate with your structural engineer in an effort to overcome all issues associated with the design- Upon receipt of the wall design(s),I will submit all documentation with the change order application to the town for review.
