Re: Building permit for a pool (open permit#296611 It has come to our attention that there is an outstanding building permit dated May 30, 2003 for the installation of a 15' x 30' oval pool with an attached deck. The Building Permit for your pool is still open. State Building Codes require the issuance of a Certificate of Use prior to using your pool. Please contact our office for a final inspection after set up, but before use of the pool. All permits should be closed by August 15, 2008. Should you have any problem meeting this date, please send our office a letter stating the reasons. The pool can not be opened. If the pool is opened without the benefit of a Certification of Use, a caveat may be placed in the land records stating a Building Code Violation exist on your property.
