The size and route shall be determined by a CL&P representative. The routing for your trench should be as straight as possible from the point of termination on the building to our facilities. The total of all bends shall not exceed 225 degrees. Conduit installation may be subject to inspection by CL&P. Unless otherwise allowed by CL&P,a 90 degree electrical grade schedule 40 PVC bend (24 inch minimum radius)shall join the meter socket conduit to the 200 Amp ringless meter socket with trench conduit and a 90 degree galvanized steel bend shall be installed at the line lugs able to accept service pole. The conduit must be capped at both ends and left accessible for 350 MCM conductors �. our line workers. All conduit joints shall be cemented. The conduit should rest 24 inches below finished grade. Warning tape, required by Connecticut State law, must be installed 12 inches above our cable. PVC Slip Joint A 1/4 inch diameter pulling line must be installed from the meter socket to the end of the conduit run. 24 inches All underground single-position sockets must be 200 amp ringless with line side lugs capable of accepting 350 MCM conductors.
