CM it ts.Nl.f{c-t1..'..M...�M 11 Porter Green I took a phone call on 3/31/14 from the homeowner of it Porter Green, regarding the installation of heat into a 3-season room in the DRZ zone. The Building Official was not issuing a CO for the work, pending the resolution from a zoning perspective. I explained to him that units within the DRZ zone are not allowed to expand in size. A 3-season room is not a violation of this restriction, but adding heat and turning the room into a year-round use does result in the expansion of the unit. This was confirmed in a conversation with the Town Planner on 4/2/14. I spoke to the homeowner again on 4/2/14, and explained that there was no way to allow the expansion under zoning. The original permit for the 3-season room specifically noted that heat could not be put into the room. In speaking with the homeowner on 4/8/14, I explained that the heating unit would have to be physically removed from the room, not simply disconnected. I also requested paperwork signed by the electrician indicating that the heat had been removed. On 4/8/14, the homeowner came in with the work order signed by the electrician, stating that the heat had been removed from the 3-season room. The homeowner had pictures on his phone showing the heating units were removed.
