Mrs . Alva Rossi, Griffin Road, South Windsor, appeared before the Board and stated
j that she was in complete favor of her husband's appeal.
Mr. Rossi said he was not requesting a sign and that he does not want a sign to ad-
vertise this business. Mr. Rossi said he would have no objection to a temporary
permit to operate this business for two years.
APPLICATION #303 - Marion L. Snow, Oakland Road, Wapping, requests a variance to
allow the sale of a house and lot With less than 30,000 square feet on a lot having a
frontage of 125.41 fact on premises known as Buckland Road, Wapping. This property
is bounded approximately north by Davis, south by M. L. Snow, east by M. L. Snow and
west by Buckland Road.
Attorney Edward R. Kuehn, Ellington Road, South Windsor, appeared before the Board
representing Marion L. Snow. Attorney Kuehn stated that due to the manner in which
this particular area grew - like topsey - there were no definite lot sizes establish-
ed and since there is a right-of-way adjacent to the property, it is necessary for
this appeal. The land is locked and there are houses surrounding it which makes it
impossible to acquire additional footage.
Mr. Frank Enes, Buckland Road, dapping, appeared before the Board in favor of the
granting of this a¢#eal since he is the propspective purchaser.
APPLICATION #3Q4 - Temple Beth Hillel, South Windsor, requests a variance to allow
construction of a temple on a lot one hundred fifty feet by two hundred feet,
fronting on a private road on premises known as Foster Street, South Windsor. This
property is bounded approximately north by Maskel and Knight, south by Maskel and
Delisle, east by Foster Street, Knight and Woods and west by Maskel. This is an
R-30 Zone.
Mr. Allan Brown, Northview Drive, South Windsor, appeared before the Board repre-
senting the Temple Beth Hillel's Building Committee.
Mr. Brown stated that it was necessary to change the location since the Connecti-
cut Light and Parer Company were intending to exercise their right-of-way through
Mr. Maskel's property fronting on Miller Road where the Temple originally was
slated to be built.

Mr. DePietro said the frontage would be one hundred feet as noted on the applica-
tion. This was sugjested by Mr. McLaughlin of the Building Department.
WLICATION #241: J. M. O'Brien, 575 Route #5, South Windsor, requests a variance
to allow a sign four feet by ten feet for advertising purposes on premises known
as 575 Route #59 South Windsor. This is a CC Zee.
Mr. Joas@h 011trieiu, 427 taod Street, M idttit, appeared before the Board,
Mr. O'Brien stated he hat an office on Route #5 and that he has erected a modo#
home in the rear. He would like to put a sign up for the model home. It ft
Dell's Ice Cream property and he has his office in the same building as Delis.
Mr. Reeves read a letter from the Building Department stating that a sign had
already been granted Mr. O'Brien to advertise Arbor Homes. It is their opinion
that another sign advertising Arbor Boom should be denied since this property now
by several signs on it.
Mr. O'Brien said one sign will be at one end of the property and the model home
is at the other end of the property. The model home being in the rear, one sign
does not do what it needs to do.
Mr. Babbitt asked if this sign being requested is the one that has been up for
the better part of a month. Mr. O'Brien replied that it was.
Mr. Babbitt pointed out that Mr. O'Brien had been told the last time that an ap-
plication does not give the applicant the right to put a sign up before it is
approved by the Board.
APPLICATION #242: Zigmund A. Sheckarski, 92 Judy Lane, South Windsor, requests
a variance to allow the erection of a two-car garage seven feet from the property
line on premises known as 92 Judy Lane, South Windsor. This is an A-20 Zone.
Mrs. Zigmund Sheckarski, 92 Judy Laate South Windsor, appeared before the Board.
When the house was built it was put a little too much on one side and now they
would like to put up a two-car garage. The way it is now they will have to curve
the driveway to get into it without the variance.
The garage will be in back of the house and away from the house., It will not be
attached to the house. It will be about twenty-feet away. The vap it is now it
would not line up with the driveway. The existing driveway will be extended back
to the garage.
The house is four feat away from the driveway walking straight across. The house
is misplaced on the map attached to the application.
