Investigation and Remarks:
10/23/18 11:20am — Scott Yeomens called Health Department. Reported that Public Works staff
was in a catch basin doing work and noticed warm water flowing into catch basin. Followed to man
hole and confirmed discharge from pipe from the building. Staff reports it had been steaming earlier.
Suspected to be process discharge, potentially radioactive. Concerned about staff that came into
contact with water, approximately 4 workers.
11:27am — Email received from Vincent Stetson with photos.
11:35am — Scott Yeomens called back, more certain that the waste water could be radioactive.
11:40am — HO called Luigi Sartori to discuss staff procedure for doffing clothing/washing up/visiting
doctor.
1150am — HO called Scott Yeomens back. Discussed doffing/sacrificing a vehicle to bring staff back
to the garage to wash up. Scott concerned that town staff would be visiting to take water samples;
discussed reporting to DEEP instead of potentially exposing more staff. Scott to call back after
conferring with Vincent Stetson and Tony Manfre.
