Please be advised that South Windsor Entertainment is seeking renewal /temporary permit to continue
operating Nightmare Acres/Halloween Holiday Attraction at 240 Governofs Highway.
This event is taking place over 14 evenings on the following dates and timesA
September 30,October 6,7,13,14,20,21,27,28,November 4th 7pm-11pm
OctoberS‘h,15“,22"”,and 29‘“7pm»10pm
This will be our 7th season and we have demonstrated a well-run operation.Customers walk through a
Halloween themed experience at the wooded aerial adventure park property.This is a festive event that
has grown in popularity.

Highway,i zone.This will be the 7th seoson.
.The event will run from September 30th through November 4th with the
hours of operotion for the hounted wolk on Fridoy,Soturdoys ond Sundays
storting of 7 PM —f 1PM (or when the crowds ore gone).
.Parking for the event will be onsite with overflow parking on the property
directly across the street at 195 Governor’s Highway.Portdble lighting is
proposed to be used and other measures include security parking
attenddnt.
.The applicant is agdin requesting d permit to offer beer and wine for sale
per state requirements under their permit for Nomads.A temporary event
permit will be required from the Health Depdrtment.
.The wording of the T &C permit regulation is that,“The wording of the T &
C permit regulation is thdt,“Temporary and conditional permits may be
grdnted by the Commission for a period not to exceed 2 years.Such
approval may be given after a public hearing if,in the judgment of the
Commission,the public convenience and welfare will be substantially
served,and the appropriate use of neighboring property will not be
substdntidlly or permanently injured,and traffic and other hazards will not
result from such use.

Dear Mr. Nation,
Re: Appl. 23-35P South Windsor Entertainment Temporary and Conditional Permit
Renewal.
We are pleased to advise you that the Planning & Zoning Commission voted on
September 26, 2023 to approve with conditions the above referenced application.
This approval is for renewal of a two-year temporary and conditional permit to operate a
haunted walk known as Nightmare Acres, at Nomad's Outdoor Aerial Park (alcohol to be
sold), on property located at 240 Governors Highway, I zone.
This approval is subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. The two-year temporary and condition permit for the Haunted Walk will expire on
September 26, 2025.
2. Adequate night time lighting shall be added to ensure patron safety. When off-site
parking is being utilized, security personnel must be present to cross patrons.
3. If there are buildings, structures, signs or other items that require a building permit or
other Town approvals/permits, all such approvals or permits must be obtained prior to
construction or use of the site.
4. A food permit is required from the Health Department for the sale of beer and wine.
