At this time South Windsor Entertainment would like to have this accepted as a permanent use permit. Attached is a site plan which shows the removal of existing parking lot, and the recently installed recreational field. The site plan also shows the overflow parking on adjacent land which is located at 205 Governor’s Highway. Lighting plan for overflow parking, along with cut sheets has been submitted to the town. 1.) We removed approximately 2/3 of the bituminous pavement on the north parking lot and replaced with six inches of topsoil and seed to create a 400’ x 280’ playable field. There was little grading and a barrier fence was installed for safety around the field; 2.) Entertainment includes music and dancing; 3.) Serving, preparation, sales and consumption of food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages, (with an expanded patio, maximum of seating for 100); 4.) Areas primarily dedicated to outdoor recreational activities. There are 128 parking spaces that will remain to accommodate this new field. Staff size at present is 6 FT and 30 PT. With the additional outdoor use staffing is expected to increase to 42. Hours for the outdoor uses will vary, but could begin as early as 7 a.m. The closing time for the outdoor area will be at 10 p.m. Sunday, 11 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 12 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. The turf field is away from any residential areas and will be illuminated. Thank you, Craig Nation Member This is a reminder of additional approval that are required prior to use ofthe fields this summer. We are already scheduling application into April —so i would suggest getting something sooner than later. 1.Parking for this use is allowed on—site only or in approved parking lots.During the one—year permit period, the applicant shall file site plans for approval for the proposed parking areas under Section 6.14 —Off -Site parking facilities as well as a special exception/site plan modification for the expansion of the outdoor recreation use associated with the existing revolutions approval.
