The water sample was analyzed for the presence of ethylene dibromide (EDB), 1,2,3-trichloropropane (TCP), and 1,2 dibromo-3-chloropropane (DBCP) and other pesticides. Results from the analyses are summarized in Table 1 (attached). Table 1 also includes each compound's respective action level set by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH). Please note that only established action levels are included in Table 1. If an action level has not been listed it means that an action level has not been established for that particular compound and its detection does not render the water unsafe for drinking or other domestic uses. Referring to Table 1, the water sample collected frorn your water supply did not contain detectable concentrations of pollutants at concentrations at or above their respective action level. An action level is the concentration at or above which the DPH has determined there could be a risk to the health of persons consuming the water. Consequently, your water is considered to be potable. The other pesticides analyzed were also reported as non detect. If you have any questions or comments please contact me at (860) 424-3796.
