Dear Mr . Page:
Pursuant to our meeting and inspection in Parkcentre this date , we
wish to advise that we have undertaken to engage a new landscaper
who can provide us with proper information as to the types of
plantings which will be most suitable from the point of view of
both aesthetics and ability to survive , for the berm , as well as ,
landscaped buffer areas . We shall , when we have determined that
we have engaged an individual with the proper credentials and ex-
perience , contact you for a meeting regarding our plans .
In the interim, Mr. Krawski has undertaken the replacement of all
winter-kill trees which our inspection of this date revealed .
In addition, we have notified Mr. Milton Factor , the developer of
Lots 3D-2 and 3D-5 , and Mr. Edward Stein , developer of Lot 3D-3 ,
that it is imperative that landscaping of their sites be performed
as soon as possible in conformance with the accepted site plans .
We appreciate your taking the time to perform this inspection with
us and assure you that careful attention will be given to all de-
tails .
Very truly yours ,

SUBJECT: PARKCENTRE SUBDIVISION COMPJAINTS BY EDrE;•IOOD DRIVE PROPERTY OWNERS
This will confirm our earlier discussion regarding the correction of subdivision
problems at the Savin Brothers' Parkcentre subdivision and the fact that you will
meet with Mr. Robert Kaye of Savin Brothers next week.
It is imperative that an agreement be reached to correct the presence of the pond
area, the break in the mounding on the property boundaries and apparant runoff
of water onto private propebti.es on Edgewood Drive. The corrections shall be
placed in writing and a specific time schedule of implementing the necessary
changes shall be setforth in the cornnunication.
It shall be your responsibility to be sure the correct=ons to be undertaken by
Savin Brothers are appropriate and correct. It shall also be your responsibility
to see that the changes are done within the prescribed time period that shall be
reasonable but of a short enough duration to provide a-ssistance to the property
owners.
I am disappointed that we did not have an answer or so'lution this week. It is
assumed the matter will be agreed upon and placed in writing the week of May 27,
1974.

Dear Bob:
Based on our cooperative and productive meeting today, it 'is
our understanding that the- following steps will be taken by
your firm immediately:
1. Instruct your Land Surveyor to take enough elevations
in Park Centre to enable a storm water drainage scheme
to be designed to drain the entire area of surface
water--including land of abutting property-owners on
Edgewood Drive and Barbara Road,
2. Have your Engineer use these elevations to design a
storm water drainage scheme which will drain this
entire area and could also be used in conjunction
with the- proposed extension of Satellite Road_
TaTP Tn„r c-nntractor install, or construct, this storm
water drainage scheme_
The above work shall be completed by June 15, 1974.
4
In addition to the above, your contractor shall open the
channel where the pond is now obstructed from flowing,
immediately.
Mr. R. G. Kaye

May 31, 1974
As agreed at our meeting, you shall also take steps to have
plans made for the following:
1. Design of a permanent buffer area next to the residential
zone in Edgewood Drive. This will have to be approved
by the Planning & Zoning Co:aunission.
2. A method of stabilizing the entire area with some form
of suitable grass, where excavation has been taking
place, after installation of the drainage scheme.
I am enclosing a copy of the Letter of Approval of the Planning
and Zoning Commission on the resubdivision of Lot 3D-•5, dated
December 6, 1973. Please .refer to Item -2.
Bob, thank you for your cooperation to date. I a_m sure that
we can continue in a positive and constructive manner, in the
Park Centre project.

Dear Buck:
On July 1 , 1974 , Joe Merluzzo of Purcell Associates forwarded to
you the additional drawings you had requested on the sanitary
sewer for the residential subdivision at Parkcentre. Please ad-
vise if this additional information is sufficient, and if the
matter can now be taken to the Planning and Zoning Commission for
approval.
I am enclosing a preliminary proposed planting plan for the area
west of Edgewood Drive where we removed a portion of the berm. I
would greatly appreciate it if you would look this plan over, and
perhaps discuss it informally with Mr. Grace and let me know both
his reaction and yours .

Dear Buck:
To bring you up to date on our efforts to improve the tree and
berm plantings in the area of the Central Record , Smyth and Szabo
buildings , we have taken the following steps:
1 . I have notified Bill Krawski of our dissatisfaction with
the tree planting in the wooded area . { I ave r q he
make an immediate inspection and discuss possible remedies with
me at once. I am pursuing this course of action relative to this
I item because Mr. Krawski did perform these plantings , at consider-
able expense to ourselves , and I feel that we are entitled to have
the situation remedied by him , even to the point of planting a
different variety of tree.
2 . We have also SEeCtedj the bPr d find that (a) the
growth of the crown etcas been quite profuse this season, and
it is still felt tha , , left to its n n inu
to spread throughout the berm to eventually provide the type of
cover that was originally visualized ; and (b) the forsythia bar-
berry and other bushes that were planted on the berm this season
have taken well , and their continued growth will provide the
softening" of the berm contour as desired.
We are operat ' under the assumption that this anticipated growth
will survi the ra-s of vandalism w ch has continually resulted
in damage an es ruction to plantings , lawns and fences `which
have been put in, i order to provide the aesthetics we , as well
as yourselves , are seeking for Parkcentre. Some recently planted

Dear Bob:
The landscape buffer between Park Centre and Barbara Road on lots 3D-2,
3D-3 and 3D-5 was very clearly defined in letters to you from the
Planning and Zoning Commission. On October 30, 1973; May 8, 1974; May 20, 1974;
and July 24, 1974 I received letters from you regarding action you would
take to improve the unsightly mess that is supposed to be a landscape
buffer. To date nothing that was promised in these letters from you has
been done. Most of the trees that were planted have died and the berm
plantings have not proven successful.
I have not been able to contact you for a week; therefore I am writing
this letter to inform you that within the next few days you should contact
me to discuss the improvements needed in this buffering area. If the
improvements are not completed by October 9, 1974, the Town will begin
to take action to have the work done by others and use the $6500 Performance
Bond to pay for the work.
I hope that you will take the necessary steps so that the Town does not
have to take action to "call the bond".
