39 Saginaw Street
South Windsor, CT 06074
Dear Ms. Bloom:
Based on a complaint received, I went to your property at 39 Saginaw_
Street. It appears that you are using a second driveway at your
residence, and that driveway may actually be located on Town property.
Section 2.17 of the Town of South Windsor Zoning regulations allows
driveways to be no closer than three (3) feet from a property line. A copy
of the relevant section of the regulations is attached for your reference.
You will need to submit an A-2 survey demonstrating that the second
driveway is indeed on your property. The Engineering department
requires that a permit be obtained for all driveway curb cuts, and there
are special requirements that apply to allowing a second driveway on a
residential lot. A review of our files does not show a permit for this second
driveway.
While I was at your property, I could also see accumulated debris which is
in the public view, and may also be located on Town property. Please be
aware that this condition meets the qualifications for blight under the
Town's Anti-Blight Ordinance, a copy of which is attached for your
reference.
Please submit the survey and remove the debris by February 16, 2016 to
avoid enforcement action from this office. If you have any questions, you
can contact me at (860) 644-2511, extension 251 . Thank you for your
prompt attention to this request.
Sincerely,
Pamela A. Oliva, CZEO
