Re: 2019 John Fitch Boulevard
To Whom It May Concern:
I have recently received a complaint regarding the number of junk
vehicles being stored on your property at 2019 John Fitch Boulevard. A
review of aerial photographs show a large amount of vehicles and debris
stored behind and alongside the shop building.
The last site plan to be submitted to the Town for this site (submitted in
1970), did not indicate any outdoor storage of vehicles or debris. The
current situation is a violation of that site plan. In addition, the property
meets the definition of a motor vehicle junkyard, which is not allowed at
this site under the Town Zoning Regulations.
Please remove all of the junk vehicles from the property immediately and
bring the site into compliance with the approved site plan to avoid
potential enforcement action. Call me at (860) 644-2511, extension 251 if
you have any questions. Thank you for your prompt attention to this
matter.

NOTICE OF VIOLATION
March 28, 2018
CERTIFIED/FIRST CLASS MAIL
J.E. Shepard Company
P.O. Box 415
East Windsor Hill, CT 06028
Location: 2019 John Fitch Boulevard, South Windsor
Dear Mr. Shepard:
A letter was originally sent to you on July 26, 2017 regarding the large
amount of vehicles and debris being stored on this property behind and
alongside the shop building. This constitutes both a motor vehicle junk
yard, and is a violation of the last submitted site plan for the site.
You were asked to remove all of the junk vehicles and bring the site into
compliance with the site plan. Subsequent letters on August 25, 2017 and
September 1, 2017 addressed the Town's concerns, resulting in an
agreement with you that substantial progress would be made towards
bringing the site into compliance by November 30, 2017.
Based on a site visit yesterday, March 27, 2019, it appears that there has
been no attempt to remove the junk vehicles or bring the site into
compliance with the approved site plan.
CORRECTIVE ACTION REQUIRED: Remove the junk vehicles and debris and
bring the site into compliance with the approved site plan by May 1, 2018.
Your immediate cooperation in this matter is appreciated. If you have
any questions, please contact me at (860) 644-2511, ext. 251 .
Sincerely,
