Re: Outdoor lighting at 100 Long Hill Rd, South Windsor, CT
To whom it may concern:
It has been brought to my attention that you have installed lighting on the
outside of the building at 100 Long Hill Road, and along the driveway as
well. Please be advised that the Town of South Windsor regulates the type
and placement of light fixtures. A copy of the relevant regulations is
included for your review.
When I went out to observe your lighting, I saw that one of the lights has
been installed on a utility pole, while the other lights were attached to
trees. I have been informed by the utility company that it is illegal to put
anything on their poles. You will have to relocate the light fixture from the
utility pole.
I do not find any records showing that you applied for an electrical permit
prior to installing the lights, so you will need to apply for such a permit from
the Town Building Department. At that time, we will document the
addition of the lights on the property through a change order in the
Planning Department. You will need to provide the light fixture
specifications when applying for the permit.
Please contact me at (860) 644-2511, ext. 251 if you have any questions.
Thank you for your cooperation with this request.
Sincerely,
N " a .
