Dear Ms. Entress, Mr. Garretto and Mr. Soverns;
It has come to.my attention that you are operating two businesses out of
your residences at 250 Diane Drive and one at 165 Dogwood Lane.
Please be advised that the Town of South Windsor regulates home
businesses through home occupation permits. Contractor businesses such
as these are only allowed to operate a business office within the
residence. All equipment must be stored off site.
Section 7.11 of the Town zoning regulations addresses home occupations,
and I have included a copy of this section for your use, along with a
permit application. Please review the criteria for both the minor and
major home occupations, and submit the application that addresses your
businesses by July 23, 2018 to avoid enforcement action. You will also
need to demonstrate compliance with the requirement that storage of
materials is off-site.
