Re: Right to re-build at 380 Burnham Street
Dear Ms. Kelley:
In response to your request of January 14, 2015, I have reviewed the Town of
South Windsor's Zoning Regulations regarding the right to re-build your
residence, which is located in the Industrial zone.
Section 2.14 Non-Conforming Buildings and Uses, states in subsection C.2. that
"non-conforming buildings or structures may be reconstructed, repaired or rebuilt
only to its previous floor area and cubicle content when damaged by fire,
collapse, explosion or Act of God". A copy of this section of the Regulations is
included for your information.
