repair leaks in the oil boiler system your company installed on May 19, 1988.
Please refer to a copy of the attached service order. In November, 1990, I
called Joe Landry, your service manager, to inform him that I had spotted
3 leaks in the system. Joe agreed that I shouldn't have any leaks and he
would again send Graydon out to fix it. I understood that it trasc a busy time
of year and was assured on numerous occasions that both he and Graydon had
my telephone number; and since it was not an emergency call, I would be
scheduled for the end of Graydon's work day when he could get to me. At no
time during these telephone conversations was I lead to believe it would not
be taken care of.
On May 149 19919 (6 months after being informed of further leaks), I
again called Mr. Landry, who informed me that you were backlogged with air
conditioning calls and that Graydon no longer works for your company. He
also informed me that your company already fixed the system once at no charge
and that another company had repaired the system previous to this. On September
12, 1990, our oil company did an annual oil boiler cleaning and made us aware
of the leakage problem. They were hesitate to do repairs since they had not
installed the system. It was at this point that I called Jim Blumridge, the
Mechanical Inspector for the Town of So. Windsor, who informed me that no
permit had ever been taken out for this installation. You were called by may
husband, Pete, who made you aware of all this- and you authorized the repair
work that was done on September 19, 1990. On September 20, 1990, Mr. Blumridge
paid me a "courtesy call" and advised me to contact him if any further leaks
should occur.
In as much as we have had problems within the first year of installation,
which were repaired by Lauren Violette, and we paid for his labor; and, of course,
the subsequent leakage problems, which your company still has not resolved, w
feel we have no other recourse but to take further action if this problem is
not resolved within 10 days of receipt of this letter.
