Iazzetta, Town Engineer RE: Atlas Oil - Oakland Road We have reviewed the drawings dated 5-15-89 for the proposed Atlas Oil Site on Oakland Road and have the following comments: 1 . Drawings should be numbered i.e. Sheet 1 of 3 etc. 2 . Five (51 ) and ten (101 ) radius on curbs is tight. This needs to be increased. 3 . Underground gasoline storage tanks need to be located on drawings . J Without a tank location-it appears- that)the sanitary lateral - y gottacross tank location. This is to be avoided so that infiltration of gasoline into the sanitary sewer will not happen. 5 . Oil separator tank is not acceptable. The detail shown will not keep oils and gasoline from being dumped into the brook. 6 . Details of trench drain required. 7 . Paving and curb detail shows 2" of processed gravel for a base. A minimum of 6" is required. Also bituminous concrete should be 1" Class II and 2" Class I as a minimum. 8 . Dumpster pad detail shows 2" processed gravel as a base, 611 minimum is required. The main concerns we have about this site is the possible infiltration and/or dumping of petroleum products into our sanitary sewers and the brook. The other comments are mechanical and can be easily ironed out. JCl/jsv cc: Michael J. Gantick, Director of Public Works wN af,< co 9 1540 SULLIVAN AVENUE .
