Re: CGS Section 8-24 Referral, Proposed Improvements at Nevers
Road Park and Sluzkanis Property
Pursuant to Connecticut General Statutes Section 8-24, the Town
Council is pursuing improvements to Nevers Road Park. The
improvements will consist of a baseball diamond and related
parking facilities in the northwest portion of the park.
The Council is also pursuing a plan to upgrade existing trails on
the Sluzkanis property and to link the trails to the existing
trail in Nevers Road Park.
Any comments which your Commission might wish to forward to the
Council regarding the proposed improvements will be appreciated.

CGS Section 8-24 Referral
This will confirm that the Planning and Zoning Commission voted
on June 27, 1989 to approve the proposed improvements at Nevers
Road Park and the Sluzkanis property, with the provision that
updated site plans be submitted. The existing Nevers Road Park
site plan needs to be modified to remove all nonexistent
facilities now shown; to include the improvements now proposed;
and to incorporate any other changes that have already been made
on site. A current site plan should also be provided for the
Sluzkanis property.
