Dear Mr. Stigliano:
Regarding the above this is to confirm my observations
during ins ection of the footings, which are in place at
the subjec site.
A test pit was excavated just outside the stone, which is
under the footings. The soa] i_s a Silty Fine Sand. Based
on deep borings at Whitney Supply, the soils consist of
such sands for at least 15 feet below grade. The soils are
medium compact in density.
All of the footings in proximity to the water table were
placed on at least 611 of stone. The stone was placed to
preclude the possible effects from rising and falling
water tables. The recent floodingg of the footings is an
example of this condition. The f]ooded footingat the
garage entry is atop a firm layer of stone, whch provides

he shear strength, required to exclude effects of such
flooding.
In summary the footings were placed in accordance with
trior recommendations from me and will adequately support
he proposed house.
