Dear Mr. &Mrs. Sivo:
At the meeting of the South Windsor Zoning Board of Appeals held on June 5, 2003,the Board
approved with conditions your request for a 6' side yard variance to section 10.2 to allow a proposed
garage 9' from the property line at 165 Avery Street,A-30 zone.
The Board concluded the hardship to be as follows:
1. Placement of the house on the property creates difficulty constructing an addition
without the requirement of a variance.
2. The need for an additional garage.
3. The breezeway allows light into the house.
4. The grade of the existing lot slopes in such a way that it would be impossible to
construct an addition in this area.
The Board placed the following conditions on this application:
1. A buffer is to be erected on the northerly side of the property.
Any new building, or alteration/additions to existing buildings,requires a building permit prior to
start of construction.
These actions are effective upon your filing the enclosed form in the Town Clerk's Office at your
own expense.
