Aerodyne Ulbrich Alloys of 125 South Satellite Road, South Windsor, Connecticut is currently doing renovations to the premises and I do not believe that a building permit has been taken out . For almost all of a year an electrical contractor whose name has been identified by the lettering on his truck as Bill Venora Electric, 235 Burnham St . , Manchester, Connecticut has been doing electrical work there . This work has consisted of installing new light fixtures, switches, plugs, relocation of electrical panels, plugs in the floor, and other electrical work too extensive for me to identify. I have checked with your department in the past and have been told that no permit for the electrical work has been taken out . Recently, an office was created which eliminated a means of egress for the employees and this work was done by the owner's son-in-law along with electrical work by this electrical contractor. Additionally, other doors that in the past provided a means of egress have now been locked on permanent basis . Currently they are in the process of constructing additional offices and once again in checking with your department I find that no permit exists for this work. I do not believe that the work that has been going on conforms to code requirement because the son-in-law is not as licensed contractor. I am deeply concerned for the safety of the existing employees because the owner, Mr. Ed Williams, is a greedy non-caring person when it comes to his employees . Please investigate what is going on. A copy of this letter is being sent to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection and the Federal Office of OSHA. Than you for your responsible assistance in this matter.
