Dear Mr. Cote,
At your request on May 11, 1983 we have reviewed
the capacity of the structural steel beam used in the
first floor framing at the above-referenced project.
The steel beam is a WlOxl5 spanning approximately
15 '-0". This beam supports half the first floor.
The roof is constructed of trusses spanning from
outside wall to outside wall. Thus, no roof load is
supported by the steel beam. This beam, spanning
15 '-0"1 can safely support a total load of 70 psf
which is an acceptable loading for residential housing.
