The P-66E Boiler has awater-backed combustion area with water circulated completely around the
firebox. In addition to enlarging prime heating surface, this design permits lower boiler height, reduces
heat loss through the bottom of the unit, and permits installation on any floor.
The east iron sections are not face-ground, but retain the tough original skin which is extremely
resistant to the corrosive effects of combustion by-products and condensation. The studs on the flue
passages enlarge prime heating surface formaximum heat transferand increased efficiency.
A special high-temperature mastic sealant is used between the bailer sections to assure a gastight
assembly and consistently high efficiency. The sealant is flexible to allow for expansion and contraction, isimpervioustoheatandmoisture, and will last the life ofthe sections.A flexible elastomer sealing ring inoileachportopeningassuresapermanent, watertight seal,
ELIMINATOR
o
ao A separate air-eliminating device is not
oe°o a, $ ao°o required for P-66E Water Boilers since
the boiler has a built-in air eliminator.
As shown in the illustration, air is
diverted to the expansion tank through
a%"tapping located next to the supply
outlet.

The Weil-McLain P-66E is a completely
factory-assembled, factory-firetested cast
iron boiler for hot water or steam heating
in homes and apartments. The unit is avail-
able in five sizes with net I-B-R ratings
from 92,200 to 205,200 BTU/Hr.
The P-66E is designed specifically for oil
firing. The boiler is extremely compact—
only 35%"high,20"wide—and is available
with optional tankless domestic water
heater.Other outstanding features include
high-efficiency oil burner,provision for easy
cleaning,cast iron construction,elastomer
sealing rings for a watertight seal,built-in
flue gas collector, back connection to the
chimney,insulated jacket,and no separate
base.
A complete package,the P-66E substan-
tially reduces the installed cost of a
hydronic heating system because factory
assembly ofall parts assures faster installa-
tion.Simply position the boiler,remove the
shipping crate, and the unit is ready for
electrical,fuel and piping connections.
In every design and construction detail,
the P-66E reflects the Weil-McLain policy
of manufacturing only the highest quality
hydronic heating equipment.
OPTIONAL
EXTENSION
The P-66E is shipped with an insulated
hammerloid-finish jacket. A jacket exten-
sion, which covers burner and controls, is
available as additional equipment.
