RE: Referral regarding the conditions at 1200 Ellington Road, South Windsor, CT
- Dear Ms. Eriksson,
On October 12, 2016, the South Windsor Health Department received a referral concerning the
above referenced property owned by you. The referral reported the following:
The property has a significant accumulation of garbage, rubbish, boxes,cans, debris,animal
feces, and other materials.
On October 13, 2016, the Fire Marshal conducted a site visit to the property and confirmed the
conditions. There were multiple bags of garbage stored on the ground,household goods, boxes,
cans,animal feces, and containers piled in the front yard and on the porch. This condition
constitutes a public nuisance,as the character, condition, and improper storage of these materials
may invite the breeding and collection of flies,mosquitoes and rodents to the area.
There has been no significant improvement in these conditions in the recent weeks.
Per Connecticut Public Health Code, as owner of the premises, you are required to maintain the
premises in such a condition that it does not endanger the health of the public.
Therefore, you hereby are given until December 5, 2016 to remove all materials in a sanitary
manner,at which time an inspection will be conducted to ensure compliance.
