I didn't realize that line terminated. Sc no go on the CT Water connection. In regards to the new sewer line being installed within 25 feet from the well: 1. No exception to the 25-separation requirement shall be granted until the exact location and condition of the existing well on the property is determined and then ascertained that there is no possible alignment of the building sewer pipe that would provide the 25-foot separation distance. 2. When encroachment is necessary, a final as-built showing the well location and sewer line shall be filed with the local health department with a written summary explaining why the exception is necessary. Plans shall also list the type of piping and joint connections installed. 3. Pressure testing of the sewer pipe should be performed. The pressure testing method and results should be filed with the local health department. 4. The building sewer pipe shall be inspected and approved by the local health department prior to backfilling. AWWA C-900 piping (or equivalent) should be used and backfilled with non-free draining material at locations less than 25 feet to private water supply wells. 5. The well water must be tested for potability upon completion of the work to ensure no contamination has occurred.
