To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter in reference to the existing well on the above listed property. I
understand that your client is applying for a loan to purchase the property and you have
questions regarding town requirements.
The following information is applicable in regards to existing wells:
The town of South Windsor does not require that residences connect to water service
at the time of a property transfer if current water tests deem the source potable.
However, it is the policy of the town that in the event that the existing well fails, the
property owner will be required to connect to water service or drill a new well.
According to our records the home was built in 1961. There is no information in our files
to indicate that any modifications or improvements have been conducted.
