381 and 414 Foster Street. A review of historic aerial photography Indicates that both of these parcels
were partially within the area formerly used as orchard lands.
The properties at 381 and 414 Foster Street were viewed from Foster Street and, based upon those
observations, it appears that water supply wells may be located in the respective front yard areas(west
side of the houses). These locations, if accurate,place the wells outside of the 500-foot search radii.
The South Windsor Health Director will be requested to communicate with the homeowners at 381 and
414 Foster Street to obtain the current status of the use of their water supply wells and make them
aware that they are located in an area of former agricultural land use and documented dieldrin Impacts
to soil.
