The building department had the same question. I thought they worked out a solution. My opinion,for what its worth, is yes a separate property ID for each building can be done, and from a software perspective show be done. You can not simply ignore a fee. You will not be able to issue the permit until the fee is paid. Nor will you be able to closed the application untile the permit is issued. We have issued a permit for the sewer main at 25 Gerber Road East and we processed a"sewer permit" in Munis for the single sewer connection fee for the entire property at 25 Gerber Road East. Upon application,we will issue individual permits for each of the five buildings, charging each a permit fee but no further connection fee. Will we need individual addresses for each of the five buildings to process the building sewer permits? John, can we process the permits for the building sewers in Munis by simply ignoring the connection fee section, or do we need to override the fee?
