A 15,870 square foot medical office building is anticipated to generate 61 and 71 total trips ' during the weekday AM and weekday PM peak hours, respectively. The relevant information taken from ft tion is contained on Appendix Sheets A-11 and A-12. Trip distribution is the directional orientation of the new site traffic. In addition to ' providing volume information,Trip also gives information on the directional distribution of the site trips. This data suggests that of the total trips during the AM peak hour, 66% will be ' entering and 346A will be exiting: Conversely, during the PM peak hour, 40%will be entering and W1*will be exiting. This is anticipated because more people would be arriving during the AM peak hour than leaving. .The following table summarizes the anticipated trip generation for ' the development: An tact Tri GeneraNea ' Entering TOM Weelcda AM Peak Hour 40 21 61 ' Weekday PM Peak Hour 29 42 71 NeA the new site traffic needs to be applied to the adjacent roadway network. As a medical ' office building would draw site trips from the region, the applied trip distribution assumes that 25%of the total trips would be oriented to/from each the north, south, east and west. Because exiting site traffic oriented to the north will be prohibited from turning left onto Sullivan ' Avenue, those trips have been assigned through the adjacent Colonial Centere where they are anticipated to make a left-turn onto Route 30 eastbound. From there, these vehicles can make a left turn onto Sullivan Avenue northbound at the signalized intersection. Although this traffic ' can utilize any of the four driveways serving Colonial Centere, they were all applied to the most used driveway(identified as Driveway#2)to take a conservative approach to the analysis. The proposed interconnection has the potential to alter traffic patterns to and from Colonial ' Po Centere. It is not anticipated that exiting traffic will prefer to traverse through the medical building development to turn right onto Route 194 (Sullivan Avenue) southbound. This is ' largely due to the fact the left-turns from the Colonial Centere driveways presently experience minimal delay. Furthermore, the more conservative approach to this analysis will leave these trips as left-turns from the un-signalized driveways rather than being reassigned as right-turns ' and processed through a signalized intersection. Traffic ems_Colonial Centere from the east, south and west is also not anticipated to utilize ' the new driveway. Access from these directions is more convenient from Route 30 than by a left-turn,from Sullivan Avenue. Entering traffic from the north, however, may elect to utilize the Page 9 of 18 '
