Lipe,AICP Town Planner Town of South Windsor 1540 Sullivan Ave. South Windsor, CT 06074 (860) 644-2511, ext. 252 From: Ben Faist [mailto:BFaist@suncappg.com] Sent: Monday, June 24, 2013 1:26 PM To: Lipe, Michele Subject: S Windsor FXG Importance: High Michele—1 tried calling your office a little earlier this afternoon and ended up going back through the operator and getting disconnected,so I didn't leave a voicemail. As 1 previously mentioned,we are having water intrusion issues as a result of the split-faced block construction at the facility. We've had numerous deisgners, contractors, and consultants on site to review the issue and it sounds as though the best solution will be to use an elastomeric coating on the exterior face of the block. This coating is an opaque coating that will waterproof the exterior face of the building. We are proposing to tint the coating so that the color will match the current color of the exposed block. We will use multiple colors so that the coatings will mimic exactly what we currently have installed (multiple colors in the color scheme). Is this acceptable to you? Is any further action needed on our part or are we able to proceed with this work? Please advise ASAP as we are hoping to start with the coatings this week. Thank you.
