Comment 8: Move the crosswalk across the gated entrance on the west side of the site out to the
west about 30-40 feet so it more closely follows the sidewalk along this road.
Response: Crosswalks are located to provide pedestrians with the safest possible route across vehicular
traffic ways. Moving the crosswalk west by 30 to 40 feet will remove the pedestrian "safe
zone"provided by the center island in the driveway. VHB respectfully requests that the
crosswalk remain unchanged.
Comment 9: ADA compliant handicap ramps should be provided wherever the sidewalks cross a
driveway or road and where they end and meet a curb or pavement.
Response: ADA compliant handicap ramps have been called out in the Layout and Materials plans(C4,
C-5,&C-6)and detailed on Site Details 6(C-20).
Comment 10: Show 12"wide painted white stop bars at all stop signs.
Response. Stop bars have been added to the Layout and Materials plan(C-4,C-5,&C-6)and detailed on
Site Details 6(C-20).
Comment 11: Include stop signs and stop bars at the two entrances to each of the porous asphalt
parking lots and at the southern leg of the intersection in front of the southern gate
and guard house(making this a 4-way stop intersection).
Response: Stop signs and stop bars have been added at the exits to each of the porous asphalt parking
lots,and at the southern leg of the main CT Studios gate on Layout and Materials plan C-5).
Comment 12: Should the curb along the eastern side of the road,to the south of the southern gate,
alongside the sidewalk be MCC?
Response: Labeling of this curbing has been revised to correctly show monolithic concrete curbing
(MCC). (C-5&C-6)
Comment 13: The painted crosswalks should be at least 6 feet wide per the latest MUTCD,and
preferably 10 feet wide per local standards.
Response: All crosswalks have been revised to be a minimum of 6 feet wide. 10 foot widths were not
incorporated in order to keep crosswalk widths comparable to that of the sidewalks that they
are connecting. (C-5)
Comment 14: The curb around the median island south east of the roundabout should be labeled as
PCC.
