FACTS: On Friday,030CT08,at approximately 0805 hrs,I was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash with no injuries in
front of 336 Chapel Rd. Chapel Rd.is an asphalt surface public highway with 1 lane in each direction(east and west).
At the time of the crash,it was daylight,the weather was clear and the road surface was dry. Agt.Weiss#160 arrived
prior to me.
EVIDENCE:Vehicle 1,CT Combination Reg:91875C,had moderate damage to the driver's front fender and wheel. I checked
the left turn signal on Vehicle 1 and found that the front signal was operative but the rear was damaged and not working.
Based on the point of contact in this crash,as well as Operator 2's statement(below),the taillight damage was pre-existing.
Vehicle 2,MA Reg:RS550X,had major damage to the front passenger side. The passenger side-curtain airbag in Vehicle '
2 had deployed. Based on the location of the cars and debris,the point of impact was several feet to the north of the center
line in the westbound lane.
STATEMENTS:Operator 1-Childree,Donald A.(06SEP87)was identified by his Connecticut Driver's license. Operator '
1 said he was traveling eastbound on Chapel Rd.and turned on his left turn signal to turn into Merwin Mason Supply,336
Chapel Rd. Operator 1 said he may have steered a little to the right side of the roadway in order to make his turn. Operator '
1 said as he started the turn he was stack in the left front by the right front of Vehicle 2.
Operator 2-Allen,Jennifer A.(14NOV75)was identified by her Massachusetts Driver's license. Operator 2 said she
was following Vehicle 1 eastbound on Chapel Rd.when Vehicle 1 slowed and moved to the right. Operator 2 said that the right
brake light was activated on Vehicle 1. Operator 2 believed Vehicle 1 was pulling to the side of the roadway or turning
