NARRATIVE <� .
Operator#1 stated that she was northbound on Ellington Rd. ( Rt. #30). The traffic control signal at the intersection of
Ellington Rd. and Chapel Rd. was green for northbound traffic. Operator#1 further stated that as she approached the
intersection she saw a red car coming westbound on Chapel Rd. The car did not appear to be slowing down. As Operator
#1 entered the intersection, the red car(Op. #2)also came into the intersection. Op.#1 took evasive action by swerving to
the left in an attempt to avoid the red car. However, collision occurred.
Operator#2 stated that she was westbound on Chapel Rd. and approaching the intersection of Ellington Rd. her attention
was diverted from the roadway to a conversation she was having with her mother in the front right passenger seat. The
conversation was about the keys to the mother's apartment. Operator#2 though the traffic signal was green and
proceeded to make a left turn from Chapel onto southbound Ellington Rd. A vehicle was in front of her(Op#1) and Op.#2
applied brakes but collision occurred.
The witness stated that she was northbound on Ellington Rd. following a tan vehicle(Op#1). The light was green for
northbound traffic. A red car came out of Chapel Rd. and the tan car swerved to the left but collision occurred. The witness
further stated that the red car(Op. #2)did not slow down and failed to obey the red signal for Chapel Rd. traffic.
All parties stated that they were not injured.
