Site-Generated Traffic ' Design year (2015 Build) traffic volumes for the study area roadways were determined by estimating site-generated traffic volumes and assigning these volumes to the study area ' roadways. The proposed site-generated traffic volumes were added to the 2015 No-Build networks to create the 2015 Build traffic volume networks. The following sections describe the procedures used to develop the Build networks. Trip Generation ' The proposed Connecticut Studios development is a very unique land use. There is a similar/comparable facility in the Albuquerque, New Mexico. The proposed Connecticut ' Studios is expected to operate similar to the Albuquerque Studios. Based on the operation at the Albuquerque Studios, there are three different trip generation scenarios (peak production periods,pre/post production periods, and no production periods). The applicant provided VHB with trip arrival/departure and employee data for a similar facility located in Albuquerque, New Mexico for the development of peak period trip ' generation. VHB met with CT DOT Planning and Forecasting Unit to review this data and discuss a reasonable trip generation approach for the proposed land use. It was confirmed that the operations of the proposed studio are unique in regards to the duration of typical ' workdays and the arrival and departure of staff, employees and executives. CT DOT understood the unique land use and requested that actual count data be obtained to confirm the information provided by the applicant. Based on the operation at the ' Albuquerque Studios and conversations/meetings with the CT DOT Forecasting Unit, the trip generation has been developed using 30% of the total trips accessing or egressing the site during each of the peak hours of the adjacent roadway. This approach was utilized to ' advance the traffic impact and access study while traffic patterns are being confirmed at a similar site. The total trips entering during the morning and exiting during the evening were based on 100% occupancy of the 520+ parking spaces proposed on the site. Table 3 ' presented the trip generation used for the analysis contained in this report. J972189.10\reports\TIS Report-South Windsor Final.do 20 Future Conditions
