As you are aware,the tank was found to have been leaking upon its removal and the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection was notified of the situation by telephone, case#2015-01191 was assigned. We were advised to remove and dispose of the contaminated soil and to take final confirmation soil samples. We excavated the tank grave and hauled 7.71 tons of contaminated soil to Phoenix Soils in Waterbury, Connecticut for legal disposal. Clean fill was furnished to replace the contaminated soil that was removed. Before backfilling,we collected(5)five final confirmation soil samples and had them tested at an independent lab for Extractable Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (ETPH). The soil sample results are attached for your reference. The sample results are as follows: West side-non-detectible;East side-non-detectible;South side non-detectible; North side-non-detectible;Bottom—non-detectible This document, along with the attached soil analysis reports, should be stored with all.legal documents pertaining to this property for future reference when necessary.
