The proposed use of an automatic fire alarm system, when conforming to the requirements of NFPA-72 for "Protected Premises Fire Alarm Systems" with automatic fire detection installed inside the effected Dwelling Units at the entry door, and in the corridor and/or exit enclosure, and in the unoccupied Basement, along with occupant notification through out the building is not commensurate with the intent of the code requirements for equivalent for "Wall Finish Classification" for exit enclosures and/or corridors, required to be a minimum Class-B rating. This decision is also based that the "Barn Board" wall material is applied directly over the wood studs without the use of any substrate, and that the material is installed from floor to ceiling, along with that the material has a number of voids (holes) exposing the wall cavity. Additionally no practical difficulty or unnecessary hardship has been presented and the requirements is not adjudged unwarranted. Evaluated By: 1LD Reviewed By: i Joseph W. KirllySton.
