RE: Request to Sample Private Drinking Water Supply
Property Address:28 Maple Street,South Windsor
Dear Mr. &Mrs.Blunt:
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP),along with the
South Windsor Health Department,is conducting an investigation of groundwater quality in the
vicinity of your property. In order to evaluate the water quality,DEEP would like to collect a water
sample from your drinking water well. The water sample will be analyze for general potability
parameters including sodium and chloride. The sampling will be performed at no cost to you and
we will send you a copy of the laboratory results for your records.
Please fill out the attached well information form to have your water supply sampled. If we do
not hear back from you,we will assume you do not want your well to be sampled. As a reminder,
you may choose to sample your well on your own at any time. If you do,we ask that you submit
the laboratory results to DEEP for evaluation.
