Comments:The 1250 gallon single compartment concrete septic tank appears to be structurally sound.The septic tank was pumped out at the time of the inspection and should be pumped again in one year.The tank is located 22"below grade and needs a riser installed to bring access up to 12"to meet the CT Health Code.The distribution box was exposed and is badly deteriorated allowing sand and silt to enter the leach fields.The leach fields consist of two rows of pipe and stone trenches.The trenches had minimal ponding at the time of the inspection.This system is undersized for todays standards but should function under normal use. Recommendations:Install a new plastic distribution box was and riser over the center cover.
