RE: Water Sampling Results for 215 Abbey Road, South Windsor, CT
Dear Mr. Solomon:
Enclosed please find a copy of the laboratory results for the water samples that were collected
from your home on September 29, 2000. The water samples were analyzed for the presence of
volatile organic compounds(VOCs).
As the laboratory results indicate,trace levels of chloroform, methyl t-butyl ether(MTBE), and
tetrachloroethene were identified in the water sample.
The Connecticut Department of Public Health(DPH)has established the drinking water action
levels for MTBE and tetrachloroethene at concentrations of 70 micrograms per liter and 5
micrograms per liter,respectively. The DPH has not established a drinking water action level for
chloroform. Therefore,the water at your home is potable with respect to the constituents tested.
Please be apprised that the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection will resample
your water to confirm these findings.
