Enclosed for your signature is a Temporary Construction Easement to allow the Town to enter_onto
your property to conduct all necessary activities to connect your structure to public water.
All property owners must sign this document on the proper line and each signature must be
witnessed by two People who must sign on the line provided and print their name below it.
The signatures must also be notarized. Perhaps it would be best to bring the document to a notary
for signing and witnessing. For your convenience you may have them notarized in the Town Clerk's
office on the first floor of the Town Hall.
The DEP has indicated that if a water supply well is contaminated above the state action level, which
is 5 parts per billion for trichlorethylene (TCE) or an exceedance of TCE in the water supply is
imminent (greater than 2.5 parts per billion), the water supply well must be abandoned in order for
your water connection to be paid for under the DEP potable water grant.
Finally, if your well is not contaminated or below 2.5 parts per billion for TCE and you wish to keep it
for non-domestic use you must adhere to all applicable Connecticut Water Company and State Health
Department Regulations and/or guidelines.
If you have any questions, please call me at 644-2511, extension 248 or Michael Anderson at Fuss &
O'Neill at 646-2469 extension 5273.

RE: Barber Hill Water Line Construction
Return of Temporary Construction Easements for Correction
I am returning the following temporary construction easements regarding
the Barber Hill water main construction project for the following reasons:
1. Thomas F. and Diana L. Dillon
Please contact the Dillons and get the spelling of both witnesses, as
those names have to be printed below the signatures of the two
witnesses on all four lines.
2. Society of St. Pious X
Please contact the signatories and get the spelling of the second
witness, so that the name may be printed below his signature.
3. Suzanne McCaffrey
This document has to be redone because the signature was not
witnessed by two witnesses. Instead, the notary public stamped her
name in place of one of the signatures. Please make it clear that
Suzanne McCaffrey's signature must be witnessed by two
individuals and they must print their names under their signatures
on the lines provided to the left of Suzanne McCaffrey's signature.
Please send out a new original, however, because the document
must be completely re-signed.

4. Patrick McCaffrey
I am returning Patrick McCaffrey's document only because I don't
want to record it until his wife has executed an agreement, and both
can be recorded together. Please hold onto this document and
return it with the other three originals so that they may be recorded
with the Town Clerk together.
I am returning the originals to you, so please provide me with new
originals for recording.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
