RE: INSPECTION OF NORTHEAST RESOURCES, INCORPORATED
On January 16, 1981, the Acting Zoning Enforcement Officer and Town
Sanitarian conducted an inspection of Northeast Resources, Incorporated,
located on Burnham Street. We were escorted about the site by Mr. Fred
Andreoli, president of the firm.
The firm is involved in industrial waste hauling (in the form of rubbish
or trash) and is also involved in recycling. There are, on an average, 12
empty dumpsters or compacting units stored on the site. Occasionally, during
the winter months, some of the material freezes into the dumpsters. In this
situation, the dumpsters are then brought into the building, thawed, and the
contents removed. There may be instances when salvagable-type refuse is
; deposited in their dumpsters. If this occurs, the dumpster is stored inside
the building until the salvage is removed.
The firm is currently licensed by the Department of Environmental
Protection to haul industrial waste. It has one such account in Hartford.
The material, from this account, is deposited in the Hartford Landfill.
The firm service's its own vehicles, and waste from this servicing is
picked up by Connecticut Waste Oil, Incorporated, from Wallingford.
Northeast Resources does not have any rodent control. There does not
appear to be any need for it.
There did not appear to be any evident health hazards or violations
at the time of inspection.
