Dear Mr. Coleman: Its time to once again sample the granular activated carbon filter system on your drinking water well. It's a good idea to sample the system approximately once every three months, December 19, 2007 at 10:00 am would be good for me. If possible it would be good if I could check the well for free product, fuel oil on the static water- table. Since the clean-up trailer-vas removed back in October I do not believe the well has been checked for oil. It would be much easier to collect this data if the well casing was raised above grade. It would be great if you could do this but if that is a problem I will request that the CT-DEP attempt to complete this, with your agreement. It would also make the removal of fuel oil from your well much easier if that were necessary. If you have any questions I can be contacted at(860)424-3778.
