Dear Mr. & Mrs. Albert:
Enclosed is a copy of your water analysis for lead.
Lead was present in the first flush sample. The amount of lead present (0.019
milligrams per liter or parts per billion) is slightly above to State action level of
0.015 milligrams per liter.
The lead in the second flush was below detectable limits.
It is recommended that you flush the water prior to use since this has an
obvious effect of reducing the lead concentration. First flush water should not
be consumed.
As a precautionary measure you may want to notify your pediatrician's office if
any children under six years of age use the supply.
If you wish, this Department will resample your water at some point in the
future.
