Dear Mr. & Ms . Charette:
As you are aware, a sample of your well water was collected and
delivered to the State Health Department laboratory for
analysis .
The water was tested for iron bacteria and sulfates, either one
of which could cause an odor. No iron bacteria was present and
sulfates were very low.
Additionally, the water was tested for bacterial contamination,
which was not present.
Indicators of sewage contamination such as ammonia, nitrates,
nitrites and detergent were also tested for and were either
absent or below detectable limits .
Your water meets potability guidelines for - all parameters
tested for.
Enclosed is a copy of the laboratory analysis . If you have any
questions, please call the South Windsor Town Hall at 644-2511,
Extension 248 .
