Waste Removal Plan
The pony waste removal plan for 848 Strong Road is intended to be the following:
of waste is to become compost pile,to be located behind the shed/pony area just prior
to the conservation area. This compost will later be utilized as fertilizer for property.
This waste will be covered in an airtight, waterproof container for storage(prior to
spreading on the property in the fall). This storage area is taking into consideration the
current regulations of 100' setback of manure piles from reservoirs and a 50' setback
from a tributary to public water supplies.
'/Z of waste is to be bagged and removed from the property for proper disposal. This
waste will also be stored in an airtight, waterproof container prior to disposal. Disposal
will be estimated to be once per week during the warmer summer months, but may be
slightly longer depending upon the amount of waste material created by the pony.
Food storage is to be the following:
Grain will be stored in a metal airtight container to reduce the potential of rats and mice.
This container will either be moved out of the pony's potential reach in the stable area or
be completely moved to the garage for storage and distribution.
Hay will either be stored in the garage or a barrier will be installed above the pony's
stable area to prohibit any chance of her over eating or pulling the hay bales down upon
herself.
